Rain
Fort Bluff trains resident and summer staff to recognize inclement weather situations and to protect our campers and staff. We are constantly monitoring the weather, and we have the ability to notify all Fort Bluff staff of any need to take shelter or any other need that may arise.
The safety of our campers and staff is our priority, and we will never take chances with the weather. In the event of storms or flooding, we will move everyone indoors and continue to monitor the weather until any storms have passed.
At Fort Bluff, the fun doesn’t need to stop just because we’ve moved indoors – we have special rainy day games and activities prepared. It’s the same Fort Bluff fun and craziness as always, just inside!

Snow & Ice
During the winter months of the retreat and conference season, there is a potential for inclement weather such as ice, snow, or sleet. In the event of winter weather, Fort Bluff will make a decision in advance of the event and communicate any delayed starts or cancellations to attendees. We will handle rescheduling on a case-by-case basis.
In the event that winter weather materializes during a weekend already underway, we will do our best to ensure that the weekend is still fun and enriching from the safety of the indoors!
