Buddy Curry
Buddy Curry started his journey as an 8-year NFL linebacker and is entering his 23th year as Executive Director of a youth character development non-profit, Kids & Pros Inc. Since 2002, he has led a team of high character retired NFL players to inspire “champions for life” - in more than 85,000 young people, conducting 325+ events in 13 states plus Canada by teaching football fundamentals and life lessons based on 5 core principles – Sportsmanship, Integrity, Excellence, Perseverance, and Teamwork.
In his role, Buddy fulfills his passion of motivating and inculcating the attributes that high performing athletes have developed to help strengthen individuals, families, businesses, and communities for high achievement.
In 1980, Buddy joined the Atlanta Falcons as a 2nd round draft choice and was selected NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year where he was the team leader in tackles (7 years), selected team captain, and 2-time alternate Pro Bowl representative.
Buddy is a graduate of University of North Carolina with a BA in Business Administration, was a 4-year Letter Winner, All Conference performer, and Team Captain.
Buddy has been married to his wife Dawn for 32 years and has 4 children, Justin, Jessel, David, and Gabrielle.
